Kander and Ebb's remarkable musical turns 1931 pre-war Berlin into
a dark and sexually charged haven of decadence. It's extraordinary
and morally ambiguous inhabitants are determined to keep up
appearances as the real world - outside the sanctuary of the
cabaret - prepares for war.
