The Prom
Broadway’s new musical comedy—with issues—follows four Broadway stars on a hilarious mission to change the world and get a little publicity for themselves.
So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom—and the press is involved—they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Now, Broadway’s brassiest are coming to join the fight and they are ready to kick-ball-change the world.
From Tony®-winning director Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon) and the writers of The Drowsy Chaperone, Elf, and Aladdin this is the hilarious musical comedy starring Tony winner Beth Leavel, Tony nominee Brooks Ashmanskas, and two-time Tony nominee Christopher Sieber. Featuring uproarious laughs and show-stopping dance numbers this new musical is about inspiring people to accept their differences, being the star you were always meant to be, and that immortal truth: There’s no business like getting in other people’s business.
Cast members include Brooks Ashmanskas, Beth Leavel, Christopher Sieber, Caitlin Kinnunen, Isabelle McCalla, Michael Potts, Angie Schworer, Courtenay Collins, Josh Lamon, Mary Antonini, Gabi Campo, Jerusha Cavazos, Shelby Finnie, Josh Franklin, Fernell Hogan, Joomin Hwang, Sheldon Henry, David Josefsberg, Becca Lee, Wayne Mackins, Kate Marilley, Anthony Norman, Drew Redington, Jack Sippel, Teddy Toye, Kalyn West, and Brittany Zeinstra.
